The Goodrich Preserve contains a mature woodland that grades from hilltop oak-hickory into to maple-mixed Hardwoods within University of Michigan's Horner-McLaughlin Woods . Native shrubs, predominantly buttonbush, surround several small wetlands and fill a large swamp adjacent to M-14. Goodrich is adjacent to Horner McLaughlin Woods, Arbor Vistas and the City of Ann Arbor's Marshall Woods.
