The 29-acre Albert J. Miller and Robert & Nancy Smith Preserve is located one mile southwest of the Village of Dexter. It contains a high-quality oak-hickory forest with a robust herbaceous layer containing a mix of woodland wildflowers, ferns, and some oak savanna species on the edge of the forest. The trail system winds through wet areas of swamp white oak, and past several small vernal pools.
