County Farm Park is located on the east side of the City of Ann Arbor. It contains an 18-acre mature woodlot with an interesting mixture of upland and floodplain tree species. Oaks, hickories, and cherry occupy they upland part of this wooded knoll, while maple, ash, ironwood, and hornbeam also appear throughout. The remainder of the park was used as agricultural land and has renaturalized with fields, dense hedgerows, and brushy cover. The early successional habitat contains fox, deer, rabbits, woodchucks, and skunks, as well as numerous bird species including Cooper's Hawk and Red-tailed Hawk.
